Hi, my name is Lim Jia Huan and I was born in Seremban and was brought up in Kuala Lumpur. My hometown is located at Batu Caves, a place where many Hindus and tourists love to visit, as well as monkeys!!! I am currently studying in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, taking Accounting course.
This is my first time blogging as I never write a blog before. This is a good try for me and I will post up some of my view on e-commerce as this is part of our assignment.
In this generation, most of the youngsters, children, businessman will spend time with internet. So of course, internet is also part of my life now. For me internet is more than just an encyclopedia, I can obtain knowledge, entertainment, friends and information from it. You really can widen your scope of knowledge by browsing through internet. Internet is a need!!
The website that I always visit is http://www.hotmail.com/, where I will check my inbox for important or funny or junk e-mail. Other than that, when I want to search for movies, I will visit http://www.ppstream.com/. This is where I can watch my favorite movie or drama without downloading it or pay for it. That’s why it is my favourite, haha…Besides, when I want to keep in touch with my friends and get updated with what happening to them, I will just click to http://www.facebook.com/. Photography is my hobby, as such I also like to visit a few websites about photography where I can check out the piece of art of professional photographer and get to learn how to take a good photo. One of the websites is http://www.photoforum.com/. In addition, when I am looking for answer for the questions in my mind, I will just do a searching in http://www.google.com/. From it, I can get a lot information and knowledge, it can help solving our problems.
Internet really provides us a good access on what happening around the world. Without internet, we really can’t complete our work easily. It is a convenient, so utilize it or you will waste it. About Hui Yi
1 commentsHello all. My name is Yap Hui Yi from Kuala Terengganu. I am 21 this year and currently pursuing Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Accounting in UTAR,Sg Long campus. Before this I had done my diploma course in Tunku Abdul Rahman College a.k.a TARC.
Frankly I am a newbie in creating/writting a blog. However, this blog is created not for the purpose of fun blogging. It is created for my Year 3 Sem 1 E-Commerce subject assignment.
Speaking about hobbies, well I believe mine is almost the same with others since we are the generation Y nowadays. My hobbies include surfing the internet, listening to music, travelling ,shopping , and chatting with friends.
I can't live without internet. My life will definitely getting very bored if I am not allowed to online. Hence here are the top five websites that I visited almost everyday and why. First among all is www.nst.com.my to obtain daily prime news happening in our own or foreign country. Besides, it helps me in brushing up my grammar and vocab since my english level is poor. Second is www.hotmail.com to check my unread mail. I love in checking mail as those forwarded mails are very interesting and hilarious but the most important is I can learn a lot from the meaningful mails. Third would be utar intranet website www.wble.utar.edu.my for updates on the campus news as well as downloaded all the lecture and tutorial notes. All news regarding student's result grades or cancelation of class will be announced at there too. Next is www.facebook.com to keep in touch with my friends especially those long lost friends. I manage to update myself with their current lifestyle with the photos uploaded and some description about themselves over there. Lastly is www.google.com which act as a search engine for information needed for my work.
What will I do during my spare time except surfing the net? For those who knows me well I am a real fan in catching up with the latest Hong Kong Tvb Drama. Half day just easily gone by doing this. But of course I am not doing this frequently as my time is mostly occupied with those assignments, mid-terms, finals and etc. Before I end, I sincerely hope I can graduate on time with all my classmates and friends next year. Strive hard to achieve our goal ya!

Besides studying, most of the time I spent will be in front of the computer surfing the internet. I know that it is unhealthy but it seems like most of the student is doing the same thing. Isn’t it?
The reason why I can spend my whole day surfing the internet is that there are too many things that we can do online. After switching on the computer, the first thing I do will be logging in to the MSN and check for unreaded e-mail. After that I go on with entertainment such as watching youtube, visit Friendster and Facebook and blogging. Some of the times I will visit online newspaper because I’m not staying with family and my housemates didn’t have habit to purchase newspaper everyday. The online newspaper website that I usually visit is http://www.chinapress.com.my/. I know that if I wan to improve my English I should read more english newspaper but compared to Chinese newspaper the content are more abundant.
Other than that, I will visit a forum named Lowyat.net. There are many areas of discussion and can be used to share and obtain information as well. I remembered a time when I first had my hamster and I didn’t know what to do when its sick. I then posted my problem on the forum. There are many pet lovers typically experienced hamster owners shared their experience with me which helped me meditate the hamster. I felt so happy when my hamster is cured. Furthermore the forum provides area which let us trade our goods. It can be considered as exits of a “market” and I always “shop” there. The buyers are reliable and the conditions of goods are superb. I have successful many experiences selling my personal belongings in the forum. This forum is strongly recommended.
I think almost everyone in this era knows about Facebook, regardless what age you are. Through Facebook, I’ve even regained contact of my friends in primary school. Thats awesome! Inside facebook there are many applications that we can play and will not get addicted. Facebook can be an entertainment and also a tool of communication.
Nowadays I believe that most of the student can’t live without the internet. It would be real boring without the internet. Many appreciation and thanks to the creator!
